While doing homework I was listening to music

and I hate it when people display song lyrics without context or introduction. Anyway, I was listening to a song by The Silver Jews called “We are Real” and I found this lyric to be pretty fun:

“My ski vest has buttons like convenience store mirrors
and they help me see, that everything in this room right now is a part of me.”

I’m not sure what the deeper meaning is (if there is one) but like many creative things, it makes the familiar less familiar, and that’s sort of like it feeling new.
